John Kollock’s last print was released on Saturday, September 10th for the 2011 season. This original watercolor of “The Dollmaker” is available at the gallery (price $1000). Limited Edition Signed Prints available $50.
This sixteen year old girl featured in this piece is a local corn husk manipulator. For a limited time, these dolls are on display and for sale at the gallery. They would make perfect table decorations for your Thanksgiving gathering. You will find a variety of doll personalities in the selection.

Cost $40 per session. Includes all paint supplies/materials and instructors’ fee. A local fine artist will give step-by-step instructions on how to paint your own “masterpiece”. After only 2 – 2 1/2 hour session, you will take home your completed your work of art. You can choose the subject matter of the masterpiece you would like to create by selecting your date of session. Classes/parties are for “big-kids” adults only. Reserved seating and 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Small class-party size allows for one-on-one support. Only 10 seats available per session, so call and reserve your spot today.

Scott Knecht -”Artist at Work” on Thursday evenings. The gallery is opened while Scott is working on one of his latest pieces of art. He invites you to come on in! Whether he is making jewelry, inking stones, or bending metal, he would love for you to stop in.

John describes his inspiration for Mountain Vineyards: “…Today the pastures for growing hay and corn are being converted to endless rows of carefully tended vines that seem to flow over the hills and valleys like a beautiful tide of green foliage. Wines being produced here in Northeast Georgia are distributed over a wide area…”

I designed and crafted the shadow box below for a customer who wanted to keep the keys his grandmother had collected. She has since passed on, and the family wanted a sentiment…and it did just that.

Newly released print of “run boys run” by Artist Julius Miller, also known locally as the owner of Orchard Valley Signs in Clarkesville, (and “ex-shiner” Carlos Lovell,) attended our artist event on November 13th here at Mountain Gallery. It was a successful event as Julius Miller signed and reminisced about the lore and culture of one of our most infamous local industries.
